Long, long ago, before heaven and earth were separated, the world was in chaos and void. At that time, there were no sun, moon, or stars, no mountains or rivers—only endless chaos and a deep abyss known as the “Divine Abyss,” the source that connected heaven and earth.
Legend says, deep within the Divine Abyss slept a supreme deity called the “Primordial God of Chaos.” He possessed the power to shape heaven and earth but was trapped by the boundless chaos, unable to awaken.
One day, from the darkness suddenly shone a mysterious light—a demon-like giant beast called the “Abyssal Shadow Beast” broke through the Divine Abyss and rampaged forth. It devoured the sparks of life in chaos, intending to drag the entire universe back into endless darkness. The balance of heaven and earth was shattered; mountains trembled, and storms swept across the land.
At this critical moment, the Primordial God of Chaos was awakened by the roar of the Abyssal Shadow Beast. He opened his eyes and let out a thunderous roar. To stop the beast, he gathered power from within himself to create five divine dragons, each ruling one of the five elements of heaven and earth:
Azure Dragon ruling the East, symbolizing life and spring breezes
White Tiger guarding the West, master of battle and courage
Vermilion Bird residing in the South, commanding fire and light
Black Tortoise defending the North, controller of ice and resilience
Yellow Dragon guarding the Center, maintaining harmony between heaven and earth
The Five Dragons engaged in an epic battle with the Abyssal Shadow Beast. Flames tore the sky apart, thunder roared shaking the cosmos. In the end, the Five Dragons combined their power to seal the Abyssal Shadow Beast deep back into the Divine Abyss. But the cost was great—the Primordial God of Chaos exhausted his power and transformed into five spirits, dwelling within the Five Dragons to guard the order of heaven and earth.
From then on, the world gained the cycle of seasons, ever-changing winds and clouds, and all living things began to grow. The Five Dragons guarded the Divine Abyss, preventing the beast from ever awakening again.
Yet the myth foretells: when the power of the Five Dragons fades, the Abyssal Shadow Beast will awaken once more to devour heaven and earth. At that time, a new hero must rise to inherit the power of the Five Dragons and protect the peace of the universe.
